FINALLY here...

Well, here I am...finally joining the world of blogging! You will have to excuse me over the next few months, as this is all uncharted territory for me. I have no real goal or agenda for this blog so there's no way to know what might pop up on here! I just wanted a place to share my stories and thoughts and post pictures where people could choose to enjoy them or not. So I guess to start out this little adventure, I will try and give a quick overview of who I am and how I got here:

I have been married to the most incredible man in the world for 4.5 years now. David and I met through a mutual friend while watching Texas Tech play Cal in the Holiday Bowl in December of 2004 (and I do believe we won that game--Wreck 'Em!). We began dating long distance two months later in February 2005. David moved back to Lubbock in May and we were engaged by July!! We got married on February 25, 2006--exactly one year to the day after our first official date. It was a whirlwind of a dating relationship and it's impossible not to see the Lord's hand in it all! Our wedding was amazing, but all of the things that went wrong during the preparation stage could be (and probably will be some day) an entire blog post of their own!!

On to my partner in life and laughter: David is the most selfless person that I have ever met which juxtaposed with my selfishness has revealed a lot about my heart in our marriage! He is also one of the most hard-working, caring and compassionate people I have ever known, and I love the way he so joyfully provides for our family. (I should clarify now for anyone who is wondering: David and I do not have a child that we didn't tell you about! When I say our "family" I mean me, David and our 8.5 lb ball of fury, Preston.) If you do not know my husband or our dog, you have no idea what you are missing!! I will do my best to always do them justice!!

Our little family lives a pretty blessed life! The Lord has provided us with the most wonderful family and friends two people could ever ask for. We live in a cute little house in a DFW suburb with our precious puppy, and we have both been blessed with fantastic people to work and live life with! It's not a perfect life, I suppose, but I can't imagine it any better!! That's enough background for now, so I will just leave you with a couple of pictures!

This is a recent picture of me and David at Possum Kingdom-we had such a fun time with friends and look forward to Friends Weekend every year!!

This next one is a semi-recent picture of our sweet puppy, Preston!! He is a maltese-yorkie mix (aka Morkie) and he is the sweetest dog in the world. He's 1.5 years old and we love him a lot! I'll have to make a Preston post someday soon!
